Promiscuous Sandstorm

This mix is about dancing to pop songs… ironically.

Why it’s pretentious: I thought downloading Audacity automatically turned me into a DJ. Obviously, this feeling didn’t last very long since I only “mixed” 23 minutes out of a five hour rave. (AT MOST, I should have given up after the Justin Timberlake track. Even that is questionable.) Oh, you know what else is pretentious? Throwing five hour raves.

Pandamonium

This mix is by the White Panda and is about get off your feet and dance, bro.

Why it’s Pretentious: I’m a little bit late on this one, but to be honest, I haven’t been keeping up with my high school heroes White Panda much lately. Cause I’m an adult now, you dig? I’m glad I found it though because it features the best use of “Teach Me How to Dougie” since “Teach Me How to Study” and more pop songs I (ironically) loved in high school than I can count. Also, his mash up of Lil Wayne’s “The Fireman” is obviously infinitely better than the one that I tried to make senior year.

But uh, let’s not talk about that.

Pretty Much Amazing

This mix is about how school is over and it’s summertime!

Why It’s Pretentious: Yeah, I could get you a frame or stationary set for your grad present, OR I COULD MAKE YOU A REALLY AWESOME MIXTAPE. As you can tell from the title, this mix was obviously about me and some of the pop songs I liked throughout my high school career, though I did stick some terrible songs on there to appease the masses (I’m looking at you, “Welcome 2 The World”). Also, I was horrified that “Don’t Stop Believing” was our senior song — this was in the pre-Glee days — but I compromised by adding a really low-quality electro remix.
