Quote Love Unquote Me
This post is about how I love you ironically.
Why It’s Pretentious: I always wanted to start a Valentine’s Day mix with the Magnetic Field’s “I Don’t Believe You,” which is my favorite not-love-love-song, but it was never the right time. So now I’m going to 1up my teenage dreams via Katy Perry and post my tape comprising of ONLY MAGNETIC FIELDS SONGS. Most common phrase of 2008: “You don’t know The Magnetic Fields? Oh. Um. Awkward…” For you. Because you had bad taste in music. Get it?
Tracklisting, downloads, Nickelodeon-themed music videos, and other Valentine’s Day gifts after the jump. I “love” you, Internet.

Just Like… A Little
This mix is by Mac of Bows and Arrows and is about how just cause it’s February 15th don’t mean Valentine’s Day is over, lovers and ladies.*
Why It’s Pretentious: High school me would have been all over this mix! Aforementioned Magnetic Fields, Syd Barrett, Pains of Being Pure at Heart… music crushes galore. Plus, “C is the Heavenly Option” always spoke to my magazine-quiz-taking-girlsoul. Present day me is also all over this mix. (Hunx and His Punks and The Ronettes! SWOON.) Download this immediately, use it to see if your guy or gal is worth sticking with, and then go see Bows and Arrows tonight at The End. It’s the pretentious way.
Download via MediaFire.
* Just kidding, he made this yesterday.
Don’t Call It A Comeback: Easter 2012

Is it uncouth to start an Easter mix with “Mama Said Knock You Out”?
Yes?
Oh okay. Well, I’ll make it the 4th song then.
