Why It’s Pretentious: I always wanted to start a Valentine’s Day mix with the Magnetic Field’s “I Don’t Believe You,” which is my favorite not-love-love-song, but it was never the right time. So now I’m going to 1up my teenage dreams via Katy Perry and post my tape comprising of ONLY MAGNETIC FIELDS SONGS. Most common phrase of 2008: “You don’t know The Magnetic Fields? Oh. Um.
