I’ve just released a small batch of tickets to my first digital concert on StageIt.com. On February 10th at 8pm EST, I’ll be going live for 30 minutes to play songs and talk about life, dinosaurs, and the new record I’m making with Dan Romer… or whatever else y’all want to ask me about. Why It’s Pretentious: Oh, you go to “live shows” at “venues”? I guess that’s cool. Yeah no, I only go to digital concerts. It’s like, the future of the music industry.

Why It’s Pretentious: I have three idols in life: Morrissey, David Bowie, and Jenny Owen Youngs. If you don’t like Jenny Owen Youngs, then I have better taste in music than you. This is a fact. In high school, I used this mix to get people into her because people are easily convinced by “OMG REGINA SPEKTOR NELLY COVER LOLZ.” If you didn’t buy tickets to her digital concert tomorrow night, then you missed out. Dontcha wish your girlfriend was pretentious like me.

If I win this hat, my life will be EVEN MORE PRETENTIOUS AND AWESOME THAN IT ALREADY IS. (Read: better than yours.) Also, everyone knows that my hair is full of secrets, so this is an incredibly accurate hat. You cannot argue with facts.
